Your next walk starts here.
Waiting for your first sync
Seven days. Your own pace.
Let's put some miles behind us.

A dash means no upload for that day. All dates follow your selected timezone.
A LITTLE FRIENDLY COMPETITION
Daily rankings reset at midnight Eastern. Past totals stay in your history. Rankings use the dates sent by your phone; sync can be delayed. Friendly competition, with no prizes.
BETTER WITH A LITTLE RIVALRY
Invite someone from the Hive or share a private invite link.
Starts at the next midnight Eastern after your friend accepts. Highest step total wins. Invitations expire after 7 days.
APPLE HEALTH → HIVE STEPS
No Hive Steps app. An existing iPhone app sends your steps here.
New setup links use a 5-minute sync frequency.
For your existing automation, open Health Auto Export → Automations → Hive Steps, set Sync Frequency → Every 5 Minutes, then tap Update.
iOS controls background timing, so uploads may arrive later than five minutes.
Install and open Health Auto Export. Go to Settings → Allow Health Data Access → Enable Health Access, then allow it to read Steps and finish the permission screen. This one-time permission lets the app send your steps.
Open App Store ↗Automatic exports require Premium. The developer offers a 7-day trial; check your local price in the app before subscribing.
Tap below, then open iPhone setup. Your connection, Step Count, daily totals and 5-minute frequency are filled in for you.
Check Step Count and Every 5 Minutes, then tap Update to save. Keep this page open until your first upload arrives.
Your sync key can upload steps only. It cannot read your profile or health history.
Keep your iPhone unlocked. Open the automation in Health Auto Export, tap Update to save, then reopen it and scroll down to the green Manual Upload button. Choose Today and upload. Some versions call this Manual Export.
This page checks every 30 seconds while visible. Compare the received number with today's Apple Health total.
Leave the automation enabled and Background App Refresh on. The app can send updates even while this website is closed. iOS decides when background work runs, so updates may be delayed; a 5-minute setting is not a guarantee.
If nothing arrives, open Health Auto Export while unlocked and check its activity log. If the log says “Authorization not determined,” open Settings → Allow Health Data Access → Enable Health Access in Health Auto Export and allow Steps. Also check daily grouping and the Authorization header. Add its automation widget to help with background syncing.
Apple Watch steps must reach Apple Health on your iPhone first. If totals differ, check the app's preferred sources. Repeated daily uploads replace the previous total; they are never added on top.
Health Auto Export setup guide ↗Disconnect stops new uploads. Existing step history stays in your account. Generating a replacement key disables the old one.
